Designing the Patio and Retaining Wall

This project builds upon previous landscaping in the addition of a patio and retaining wall. The forms echo the existing curved nature of the site, and material choices and vegetation are also derived from site conditions. This project began with a detailed site analysis and a backyard plan, followed by excavation and leveling of the ground. Afterwards came laying out bricks and tiles for the patio and retaining wall, followed by planting sod and native vegetation.
